What do I need to establish a connection

You can connect to the Eduroam network with different devices, such as:

• Laptop or
• Handhelds or
• Other wireless devices that support the standards required. The device needs to be equipped with a suitable wireless (Wi-Fi) interface that supports the following standards:

• 802.11b or 802.11g
• WPA-Enterprise or WPA2-Enterprise security protocol

To establish a connection the device also needs to have suitable software:

• Eduroam Client or
• General client 802.1x (with instructions to establish connection)

When buying wireless cards for portable devices check if the product is labeled with the following marks:

• IEEE 802.11b or 802.11g
• WPA-Enterprise (the latest networks also support WPA2-Enterprise)
